Halewood Triangle Park gets its name, and its shape, from the 19th-century railway lines that met here, part of the Cheshire Lines network.
The Liverpool Loop Line closed in 1964. Its tracks were taken up and the old line turned into a path for walking and cycling, now part of the Trans Pennine Trail.
Today the park is a Green Flag park and a Local Wildlife Site, with woodland, ponds and open grass. The main entrance is on Okell Drive, beside Halewood Environmental Centre – which is where you will find us.
